It's hard to believe that you are 4 years old already! Kinda makes me sad... *sniff, sniff*
You may be a little lazier these days (or A LOT lazier), but you're still the sweet, fun-loving girl you were the day we brought you home.
Right now, we are in love with...
the way you look at us out of the corner of your eye because you're too lazy to turn your head.
how you love to take naps with your dad.

how you keep your mom company as she studies.
how your whole body wiggles when you are happy to see us.
your endless supply of kisses.
how you make noises when you yawn.
the way you "point" when you think you see something you wanna chase.
how you perk up at the sound of the words "look", "treat", and "walk."
how sensitive you are... if we even look at you wrong you, your little heart breaks.
the way you beg for food. how can anyone resist those huge puppy-dog eyes and that huge head resting on their lap?

how expressive you are. it's easy to tell what you must be thinking because the positioning of your ears gives it away.
the way you drewl buckets when we have food that you REALLY want, like meat or peanut butter.
how you like to greet people with a toy in your mouth.
the way you fold yourself in half kidney bean style when you're happy... it's even better when you walk that way.
the way you wiggle around on your back and snort when you have carpet to lay on.

how you prefer to drink fresh water out of the tub faucet rather than out of your bowl. so spoiled.
how you sleep with your feet up by your head.
the way you rub your face on all our pillows and blankets and snort with satisfaction.
how you perch on your tuffet and puff your chest out acting like you own the place.
your amazingly good behavior even when we are doing something to you that you hate like bathing you, cleaning your ears, or giving you medicine.

how we can let you out to go potty without your leash on and you usually come right back when you're done.
how you prance around when you're excited about something.
the way you refuse to move once you've established your spot on the bed, no matter how much we push you around.
your HUGE tongue. you can smother an entire human face with that thing.
how you "bark" (or more like squeek) in your sleep.
how you love to play hide-and-seek.
the way you go nuts trying to find hidden kongs around the house.
your monkey whine.
how smart and talented you are. you know about 15-20 different tricks.
the way you put one of your paws on us when you are trying to get our attention.
how we can "anchor" you to a spot just by setting the leash handle on the floor.
how excited and silly you act when you have just received a new toy.

how you are no longer interested in that new toy after about 15 minutes.
that you are not stinky like most other dogs.
how you love little kids and will sneak a kiss any chance you get.

your stubby tail. it's just too stinkin' cute.
how you love everybody and everybody loves you.
the way you dodge head pets. if you're gonna be pet or scratched, you prefer the butt.
how you get really nervous when you think that your dad and I are gonna leave the house without you.
that you rarely bark.
how you always want to be with your people.
how you always have to have a spot on the couch. even if there's no room, you'll sacrifice comfort to lay there (on top of everyone) anyway.
the way you get your front paws up on the bed and then look back at us with those sad eyes hoping that we'll lift your lazy butt the rest of the way up onto the bed.
the way your top lip gets stuck and your underbite is exposed.
how soft you are, especially under your chin, on your chest, and after you've had a bath.
your gobble.
the good company you are when your dad works late at the hospital or is out of town.
the way you cock your head to one side when we say something you recognize.
your huge sighs.
your sad face that always looks sad bc of all those wrinkles and those big brown eyes. it makes our hearts melt.
As the long list suggests, I don't think there's much we don't love about you. We consider ourselves very blessed to have you be a part of our family. Happy 4th birthday, girl! You're our favorite.

Hope you enjoyed the treats!
