Catchin' some rays

This time of year in Portland it's rare to see the sun, so anytime there is a hint of sunshine peeking through the clouds, you better take advantage of it! Ryan happened to have the sunshiny day off so he took his boat out for the first sail of 2013. Emmy and I took the long walk down to the waterfront to watch him in all his glory. Unfortunately, by the time we got there, Ryan was already pulling his boat out of the water. It was pretty gusty out and Ryan got spooked when his boat nearly tipped over. He wasn't too excited about the idea of being dumped into the frigidly cold water. Oh, well. There will be plenty of opportunities to watch Ryan sail this summer. Speaking of summer... we can't wait for it to be here!! Too bad summer in Portland doesn't hit until July... Here's to hoping we get at least a few more days like today to help us make it until then!
