Another year has passed and not much has changed. And I for one like it that way!

Right now we are loving...

the way you rub your face on whatever soft thing you can find on the floor when you're tired

how you wait for me to give you your daily morning rub down when we wake up - you stretch while I rub your front legs first and then your back

how you lift your paws for us to clean them after coming inside when it has been raining

how you get up with your dad to eat breakfast and then come right back to bed and snuggle with me until it's time for me to get up

how your new favorite food is whipped cream and come running to just the sound of us shaking up the can

how you are always so happy to see us when we get home and continue to greet us with full-body wiggles, kidney bean poses, and a toy in your mouth

how you let me brush your teeth and even look forward to it

the way you patiently wait for me to open my eyes in the morning so you can say hello

the way you lie in the garden box in the backyard when the sun is out

the way you are so well-behaved when you're home alone, even when dad and I have to work long hours

the way you follow me around the house, just because you prefer to be with me

how you patiently wait for us to make you a kong before we leave for work and how you won't dig in until we have left

the way you perk up when you hear that dad has just gotten home or hear me ask "is that your dad?"

how you cock your head to the sound of the words "walk" and "treat" and "do you wanna go?"
